After a wonderful, un-eventful spring break, spring quarter has arrived. I usually find that I miss classes during break, but loathe them once they're here, but I'm happy to say that has yet to happen (even though it is only the fourth day of class).
This quarter my statistics classes are more application-based, which I LOVE. I've gotten through most of my mathematical statistics classes, and finally learning material that I can actually see myself using in the future. Survey sampling, regression analysis - my cup of tea. We'll see how it goes!
I'm starting to really research which grad school I'd like to go to, and I'm finding it to be more difficult than expected, but at least I'm ahead of schedule.
On a side note, the Border's near my apartment is going out of business, which means they have great discounts on books and whatnot, so one of my roommates and I decided to check it out. I was disappointed to find that all the "social science" statistics books were ones I already owned, so I mosied on over to the "True Crime" section and bought a book on criminal profiling and the childhood development of serial killers. Although I probably won't be able to read these under the quarter's over, I'm pretty excited to delve into my "dark hobby".
That's all I've got for now.
Until next time,
CR

And So It Begins...
While sitting at my desk, reading through my favorite blogs, a question came to mind - what makes a blog a good read? What is it about a blog that attracts someone's interest? Well, obviously a blog has to be interesting, relatable (is this really NOT a word? Spell check doesn't seem to think so...) and possess some sort of personality. I hope that you'll find all three of these qualities in my posts, and stick around for more entries. Happy readings.
